About The Position

The Field Marketing Manager (FMM) serves as the strategic marketing partner to Microsoft U.S. Operating Units (OUs), connecting corporate marketing investments with field sales priorities to drive customer engagement, pipeline creation, executive relationships, and business growth. The role is responsible for translating business priorities into integrated marketing plans and executing high-impact customer engagement strategies that accelerate adoption of Microsoft solutions, strengthen industry relevance, and support revenue outcomes across Enterprise and SME&C segments. The FMM acts as the primary interface between the Central Marketing Organization (CMO), sales leadership, GTM teams, executive stakeholders, and worldwide marketing teams to ensure marketing investments are aligned to business objectives and delivering measurable impact. The role supports one or more U.S. Operating Units and serves as a trusted advisor to OU leadership teams, segment GTMs, and sales stakeholders. The FMM owns the end-to-end orchestration of field marketing activities, from planning and prioritization through execution, measurement, and optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing (e.g., campaign planning and execution, digital marketing), event management, program management, marketing operations (including campaign reporting and analysis), or related work experience OR equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic marketing planning in partnership with U.S. OUs, Segment GTMs, CPEMs, and sales leadership to align marketing priorities, investments, and execution plans with business objectives.
  • Drive customer engagement through Microsoft's flagship and cornerstone moments, including AI Tour, Ignite, Build, Frontier Transformation Week, industry events, and local executive engagement programs.
  • Develop and execute local and industry-specific engagement strategies, including first-party, third-party, ancillary, executive, and account-based marketing programs designed to increase customer engagement and influence pipeline.
  • Partner with sales teams to activate marketing-engaged accounts, translate customer signals into seller actions, and identify opportunities to accelerate pipeline creation and account engagement.
  • Provide Voice of the Field feedback to corporate and integrated marketing teams, ensuring campaigns, content, and investments reflect customer and seller needs within the U.S. market.
  • Lead executive stakeholder engagement across OUs, supporting customer meetings, executive sponsorship opportunities, industry moments, and strategic customer conversations.
  • Manage marketing business reviews, planning rhythms, performance reporting, and recommendations using customer insights, engagement analytics, and business performance data
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across marketing, sales, communications, events, operations, analytics, and world-wide teams to ensure seamless delivery of marketing programs and customer experiences.
