Field Marketing Manager

Basis AINew York, NY
$85,000 - $135,000Onsite

About The Position

Basis builds real agents that do real work in the real economy. Our agents operate for hours at a time, performing end-to-end work for some of the largest accounting firms in the world. We recently raised $100M at >$1B valuation and are racing to deploy the most advanced applied ML at production scale. Our investors include: Khosla Ventures (Keith Rabois & Vinod Khosla), Accel (Miles Clements), Google Ventures, Nat Friedman & Daniel Gross, Adam D'Angelo, Jeff Dean, Jack Altman, Noam Brown, Kyle Vogt, Amjad Masad, Clem Delangue and many other operators/technical leaders. "Basis is on the frontier of building production-grade, long-horizon agents. They've pushed the limits of what we thought our models could do on real-world, economically valuable, complex accounting tasks. They've been a great collaborator in helping us shape what the future of agents looks like." — Prashant Mital, Applied AI Lead, OpenAI

Requirements

  • 0-1 mindset. Comfort building the events function and processes from scratch.
  • Brand instinct. A strong eye for how Basis shows up in every room, from signage and swag to booth design and team presence.
  • Strategic execution. The ability to toggle seamlessly between high-level event strategy and hands-on, day-of execution.
  • Ruthless organization. A track record of managing a high volume of events simultaneously across both owned and third-party programs without losing the thread.
  • Data-driven. A track record of measuring event performance through to pipeline, and using that data to decide where to show up and when to double down.
  • 3+ years owning B2B events end-to-end: conferences, trade shows, executive experiences, and customer community.
  • Ability to travel 15-25% (a handful of major, in-person conferences; the rest coordinated from NYC office).
  • In person 5 days a week in our Flatiron office (when not traveling).

Nice To Haves

  • Tools and systems: Proficiency in event management platforms and CRM systems, with an eagerness to use AI to make the events function more efficient.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and run 40+ events per year across the full spectrum: customer community events, multi-city roadshows, 2,000+ person industry trade shows, and intimate executive dinners.
  • Ensure each event has clear goals, tailored programming, and measurable outcomes tied to the specific audience.
  • Partner closely with sales and leadership to design pre-show outreach, on-site meeting programs, and post-event follow-up sequences that turn booth traffic and attendee engagement into qualified pipeline.
  • Own event budgets, vendor relationships, and timelines.
