About The Position

Maxima is the first agentic AI platform for enterprise accounting, purpose-built to deliver SOX-compliant, real-time close. Our founders have experience on both sides of the problem: from overseeing the finance organization at Rubrik to building month-end close systems at Twitter and Netflix. Your role The marketing team at Maxima is in search of a field and events marketing manager who is data-driven, highly organized, and experienced in managing in-person and virtual events for enterprise B2B audiences. The ideal candidate thrives in a startup environment where curiosity and creativity fuel ambition through bold, high-impact programs. This role focuses on bringing the Maxima brand to life through in-person events, webinars, conferences, and field programs that support sales and reinforce our thought leadership. Unlike at a large tech company, this role comes with meaningful ownership and visibility. You will directly engage with CFOs, controllers, and accounting leaders, participate in C-suite interviews, and help shape how Maxima shows up in high-stakes environments.

Requirements

  • Have 2 or more years of field marketing, event marketing, or relevant experience at B2B startups.
  • Possess hands-on experience building marketing events from scratch.
  • Have exceptional organizational and project management skills and can juggle multiple events simultaneously.
  • Want to grow quickly and take on responsibilities that would take years to earn in a large tech company.
  • Are excited to travel for events and onsite activations.

Responsibilities

  • Own Maxima’s event strategy
  • Determine the right mix of events across executive dinners, regional meetups, roadshows, conferences, and webinars.
  • Decide which third-party events, sponsorships, or field activations we should invest in based on goals and target accounts.
  • Define the audience, format, location, and purpose of each event.
  • Build and maintain the events calendar to ensure programs support sales priorities.
  • Plan and run in-person events
  • Execute executive dinners, regional gatherings, partner events, customer meetups, and roadshows.
  • Manage all logistics including venues, catering, vendors, contracts, budgets, timelines, and onsite coordination.
  • Ensure events are well-organized, on brand, and tailored to finance and accounting leaders.
  • Represent Maxima onsite and serve as a key customer-facing presence.
  • Manage webinars and virtual events
  • Plan and produce webinars, virtual briefings, and educational sessions.
  • Coordinate speakers, dry runs, registration, reminders, and post-event materials.
  • Deliver smooth, polished virtual experiences.
  • Support conferences and sponsorships
  • Select conferences and third-party events based on fit and expected impact.
  • Manage sponsorship deliverables, booth setup, creative assets, and onsite presence.
  • Ensure Maxima shows up with a strong and consistent brand experience.
  • Partner closely with sales
  • Coordinate pre-event and post-event outreach with sales and SDRs.
  • Share attendee lists, follow-up recommendations, and post-event insights.
  • Help prepare sales teams for onsite conversations and engagement.
  • Track performance and gather insights
  • Track attendance, engagement levels, follow-through, and lead quality.
  • Analyze event performance by capturing both quantitative and qualitative insights including logistics feedback, pipeline impact, attendee reactions, and competitive observations.
  • Document learnings to inform future planning and improve event effectiveness.
  • Support event creative needs
  • Work with creative and product marketing to develop event collateral, signage, and promotional materials.
  • Manage swag, gifting, and physical event items.
  • Maintain consistency across all event materials and brand touchpoints.
  • Operational excellence
  • Build processes, checklists, and templates for repeatable execution.
  • Maintain detailed documentation across logistics, vendors, budgets, run-of-show plans, and post-event reporting.
  • Ensure all events are delivered on time and within budget.
