About The Position

Vital Research is seeking independent contractor Field Interviewers for a statewide project in partnership with the State of Oregon. The project focuses on understanding the quality of life and satisfaction of individuals receiving state-supported services. Collected information will help inform and improve service delivery, including access to essential services, communication with providers and case managers, choice and quality of services, transportation, personal safety, and community inclusion and empowerment. Field Interviewers contact pre-identified participants and conduct confidential surveys by phone, video, or in person according to participant preference. Contractors use a company-provided tablet and software, follow established project protocols and deadlines, and manage their own schedules. The expected commitment is at least five completed surveys per week, averaging one survey per day. Compensation is paid per completed survey: $80 for a phone interview, $85 for a video interview, and $95 or more for an in-person interview, depending on travel distance. Training payments include $50 for completing pre-training modules, $300 for completing mandatory virtual training on December 7–9, 2026, and $50 for completing required post-training knowledge and skills assessments, for eligible contractors.
