Hybrid Field Interviewer

Vital Research•The Dalles, OR
•$80 - $95•Hybrid

About The Position

Vital Research is seeking independent contractor Field Interviewers for a statewide project in partnership with the State of Oregon. The project gathers confidential survey data about the quality of life and satisfaction of people receiving state-supported services. Findings will help inform and improve service delivery, including access to essential services, communication with providers and case managers, choice and quality of services, transportation, personal safety, community inclusion, and empowerment. Contractors contact pre-identified participants and conduct surveys by video or in person according to participant preference, using a company-provided tablet and software. The work is flexible and project-based: contractors manage their own schedules while following project protocols and deadlines. The contract runs from December 7, 2026, through May 30, 2027, or until all interviews are completed. Contractors are expected to complete at least five surveys per week. Compensation is per completed survey: $80 for phone interviews, $85 for video interviews, and $95 or more for in-person interviews depending on travel distance. Required training is provided before participant interviews begin, with payments for completing specified training and assessments.
