About The Position

AAA Northeast is hiring a Field Insurance Agent to sell personal lines insurance products to members who contact the organization by phone, online, and in retail branches. The role includes paid training and costs to obtain a Personal Lines Insurance License. During training, the schedule is remote Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., for 4–6 months. After training, the hybrid schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m.–5:15 p.m., with a rotating Saturday shift from 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. The target start date is November 16, 2026. The position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and hourly pay of $27.25–$33.00. Individual pay depends on job-related skills, experience, shift, and geographic location. The agent helps members find suitable coverage and premiums, meets sales goals, maintains prospect information, and follows agency, carrier, underwriting, payment, and compliance procedures. The agent also provides AAA Five Diamond service, supports new insurance accounts, builds professional relationships, and develops general knowledge of Life products and AAA Northeast membership benefits. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
At least 2 years of sales or customer service experience required.
Obtain a Personal Lines Insurance License within the first 30 days; training is provided.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree preferred.
Insurance sales experience preferred.
Outbound or cold-calling experience strongly preferred.
Life License preferred.

Responsibilities

Sell insurance products and services while meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Interact with members in person at the branch, over the phone, and online.
Compile coverage and rating information and confirm insurer underwriting criteria, coverage, and premium data.
Provide members with product and premium proposals suited to their needs.
Develop leads and prospects by responding to referrals promptly.
Participate in sales programs and maintain prospect files in the CRM system.
Develop general knowledge of Life products for referrals to licensed agents.
Develop familiarity with insurance carrier products, services, technology, and processes.
Follow agency procedures for quoting and binding coverage and processing member payments.
Work with Quality Assurance and Underwriting departments to minimize errors-and-omissions exposures.
Gain general knowledge of insurance practices, including the scope of an agent’s authority.
Provide AAA Five Diamond service to current and prospective AAA Insurance clients.
Service new insurance accounts by processing payments, researching underwriting criteria, and acting as a liaison with insurance companies.
Build professional relationships with clients, insurance company representatives, dealerships, real estate agents, and others to support AAA Insurance and broaden community knowledge of its products and services.
