About The Position

Seek Now is seeking reliable, skilled, and experienced 1099 independent contractors to conduct accurate, impartial, and complete home and commercial property inspections. Inspectors are expected to access and inspect steep, high roofs and support Outside and Inside Insurance Adjusters while delivering strong customer service. The role is available in major U.S. markets and involves daily travel within a 100-mile radius, as well as travel to catastrophe-affected areas for assignments that may last two to six weeks. Travel is expected to account for 100% of the work. Contractors provide their availability and work independently while partnering with Seek Now’s internal team. The work is mostly outdoors, with occasional indoor inspections, and is fully remote in the sense that there is no fixed office worksite. The position requires climbing roofs and ladders, documenting inspections using a proprietary application on a smartphone and laptop, and submitting complete, high-quality reports within required guidelines. Contractors must maintain professional and safety standards required by insurance carriers, communicate effectively with homeowners, adjusters, and clients, and escalate issues when appropriate. A clean, reliable truck, van, or SUV, a 32-foot ladder, an operational laptop and smartphone, professional appearance, roofing boots, valid driver’s license, state-issued workers’ compensation certificate, general liability insurance certificate, and LLC organization documents are required. HAAG Certification must be earned within the first year if not already held. The role is suited to contractors who are comfortable with heights, frequent travel, variable assignments, and physically demanding outdoor work. Current roofing contractors who want to continue working for or owning a roof replacement or repair business are not suitable due to a conflict of interest. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.
