Field Inspector I - Contractor
About The Position
The Field Inspector (Level 1) supports inspections for RBA event TAL and online event photos-only items based at RBA facilities. The role uses an inspector application to collect information and capture quality images of static equipment. Additional duties include organizing materials, helping prepare equipment for sale, and completing on-the-job training to develop toward a Level 2 role. The contractor is paid per piece inspected and for mileage. Compensation listed includes $150 for the first full inspection at one location, $30ā$60 for each additional inspection within 10 miles of the first location, a $250 full-day rate, and a $125 half-day rate.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Use the inspector application to collect general specifications, feature information, and photos for parts, tools, attachments, and materials.
- Assist Level 2, 3, and 4 inspectors with inspection preparation tasks.
- Structure daily workflow to drive efficiency.
- Select the proper TAL or PO inspection checklists to ensure content accuracy.
- Communicate and resolve equipment identification and readiness issues.
- Use best-practice techniques to maintain the usability of inspection devices.
- Support auction-day activities.
- Organize materials and help prepare equipment for sale.
- Undergo on-the-job training to develop toward a Level 2 role.
