About The Position

The Field Inspector (Level 1) supports inspections for RBA event TAL and online-event-photo-only items at RBA facilities. The role uses an inspector application to collect equipment information and capture quality images of static equipment. It also involves organizing materials, helping prepare equipment for sale, assisting other inspectors, supporting auction-day activities, and completing on-the-job training to develop toward a Level 2 role.

Pay is per piece inspected and mileage. The first full inspection at one location is paid at $150. Each additional inspection within 10 miles of the first location is paid at $30–$60. The full-day rate is $250 and the half-day rate is $125.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Use the inspector application to collect general specifications, feature information, and photos for parts, tools, attachments, and materials.
• Assist Level 2, 3, and 4 inspectors with inspection preparation tasks.
• Structure daily workflow to drive efficiency.
• Select appropriate TAL or PO inspection checklists to ensure content accuracy.
• Communicate and resolve equipment identification and readiness issues.
• Use best-practice techniques to maintain the usability of inspection devices.
• Support auction-day activities.
• Organize materials and help prepare equipment for sale.
• Complete on-the-job training for development toward a Level 2 role.
