Field Hockey Camp Athletic Trainer

University of New Hampshire
Onsite

About The Position

Athletic trainers play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of campers by managing a wide scope of responsibilities. Their qualifications allow them to oversee the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of emergent, acute, or chronic injuries and medical conditions. They are also responsible for maintaining clear communication with coaches, parents, and campers regarding any medical concerns. Athletic trainers are authorized to handle and distribute prescription medication and are trained to diagnose various injuries, including head injuries. Due to the time restraint of the camp, we cannot do a Return-to-play progression. Once a head injury is diagnosed, a camper needs full medical clearance from a doctor in order to return.
