The Field Food Specialist will supervise training and educate store teams on current and new product offerings, with an emphasis on Food Safety and Quality Assurance to ensure FSQA and HACCP regulatory requirements are met. This role supervises new store start-ups and remodels for Foodservice, addresses issues in stores in real-time, and provides immediate solutions during visits. The specialist is responsible for visiting assigned stores on a set schedule to perform food safety-quality assurance monitoring functions and conduct trouble-shooting seminars to instruct stores on equipment and process issues. They act as a central contact person for stores regarding food service categories, with discretionary decision-making power to solve issues as they arise. The role collaborates with Category Managers, BU leadership, store leadership, Food Service vendors, and merchant experts to ensure training materials are effective, current, relevant, and compatible with Company policies and standards to maximize the growth of the Foodservice category. Additionally, the Field Food Specialist will coach and monitor under-performing stores, partner with District Managers, oversee new food service projects, maintain a database of training sessions and visits, and develop/facilitate training sessions addressing market or regional gaps and needs. The goal is to create a training environment that empowers people to find answers and solutions independently to grow their food business, fostering a cooperative learning environment with feedback to guide correct actions and share best practices. This role leads training opportunities as needed and works closely with store management, sales associates, District Managers, and other internal departments related to the food service category. Assists with training as needed and aids with new store start-ups and remodels.
