This position requires you to service Chicago and the surrounding areas. The Field Engineer will partner across the engineering team to ensure K-LOVE's programming is broadcast successfully and to the highest quality through expert installation, maintenance, operation, updates, and intricate repairs. They will lead the operation, testing, and maintenance of advanced broadcast equipment, optimize signal and sound based on Ministry guidelines, and drive a culture of excellence by identifying opportunities to enhance system performance, reliability, and efficiency, with a focus on IP-based, modern microwave, and Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite solutions. The role also involves serving as a primary expert in diagnosing and resolving complex technical faults, mentoring junior Broadcast Engineers, and completing all required administrative documentation accurately and on time. Additionally, the Field Engineer will maintain an expert-level understanding of FCC rules and regulations, champion K-LOVE's Injury Prevention and Safety program, and serve as a Chief Operator/Engineer for assigned broadcast station(s). This role requires mandatory, comprehensive on-site visits to each assigned transmitter site at least once per quarter, immediate response for unplanned outages and emergency repairs, and performing essential maintenance on non-broadcast equipment.
