About The Position

This position is part of Blattner's Summer 2027 Internship Program. The Field Engineer Intern will support the collection of daily production and safety data, help coordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers, and assist with project equipment management and inventory, including tools and materials. The intern will attend weekly meetings with engineers, subcontractors, and owner representatives, and engage in field activities to gain experience with craft positions. Additionally, the intern will assist in preparing agendas for daily and monthly meetings and develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, landowners, and team members to enhance the company’s position.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a two-year or four-year degree in construction management, engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, industrial), or related degree.
  • Able to relocate to the construction project site assigned for duration of the internship (12 weeks).
  • Have access to reliable transportation.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR).
  • Comfortable with exposure to dirt, heat, noise, dust, and a trailer office environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, Outlook, Visio).
  • Skill in accounting (math and record-keeping).
  • Be independently motivated and have supervisory skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks.
