About The Position
MGC Contractors, Inc. is a 100% employee-owned corporation specializing in water and wastewater general contracting. The company is seeking Field Engineer Interns for its Utah Division in the Eagle Mountain area. The position supports project administration and coordination and provides exposure to construction scheduling, procurement, quality control, and construction means and methods. It is full-time, with occasional overtime as job duties demand. A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Junior or senior standing while working toward a bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Assist the team with general contract and subcontract administration.
- Gain exposure to construction scheduling.
- Assist with material and equipment procurement and expediting.
- Review and coordinate shop drawings and submittals.
- Participate in and document project coordination meetings.
- Research and suggest options for construction means, methods, and equipment.
- Gain exposure to and monitor quality control.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
