Field Engineer III
About The Position
As a Field Engineer III, you'll be the bridge between engineering, construction, and our clients. You'll spend your time where the work is happening, solving real-world technical challenges, building trusted relationships, and helping deliver complex industrial projects from the ground up. If you enjoy seeing your work make an immediate impact and want to be a key technical leader onsite, this is the role for you. Rather than working behind the scenes, you'll be onsite helping guide construction, partnering directly with clients, and influencing the success of large-scale industrial projects from kickoff through completion. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers, project managers, designers, construction professionals, and clients while expanding your technical expertise and leadership skills. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Five or more years of experience in construction, field engineering, or a related engineering role. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the desire and qualifications to obtain licensure.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, field coordination, and project execution.
- Experience interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other engineering or project management software.
Responsibilities
- Providing technical support on active jobsites and responding to field or client technical issues.
- Reviewing electrical designs and validating installations during construction.
- Serving as the primary liaison between engineering, construction teams, clients, vendors, and partner engineering firms.
- Building strong client relationships through regular communication during and between projects.
- Leading small projects while coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Supporting project pursuits by collaborating with project managers and estimators on proposals.
- Leading and mentoring team members through effective delegation and technical guidance.
- Acting as an owner's representative to ensure project expectations are met.
- Assisting with estimating specification reviews and preparing Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Supporting 3D/BIM model coordination and documenting as-built information as needed.
Benefits
- Compensation: $95,000 - $130,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
