About The Position

As a Field Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech IV - Field Service - CES), you will maintain and repair complex equipment, including customer-owned equipment, with limited or no supervision in a skilled, safe, and professional manner. The role involves traveling to customer job sites and providing exceptional customer service. There may be opportunities to work toward leadership roles in the Service Department.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
At least 5 years of experience repairing or maintaining equipment and tools.
Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
Knowledge of construction equipment and a strong mechanical background with various engines.
Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
Own tools applicable to the position.
Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment and tools, using a high degree of independent judgment.
Travel to customer job sites to repair and maintain customer-owned equipment, and keep the service vehicle clean and professional.
Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.
Complete paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed, including work orders, accurately and promptly each day.
Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment to customers.
Assist with equipment and parts pickup and delivery.
Perform other duties as assigned.
