About The Position

The Field Data Specialist independently travels to commercial properties, such as shopping centers, warehouses, and office parks, to collect and document accurate property data. The role combines outdoor fieldwork, measurements, photography, technology use, and data entry. Most travel is regional, and employees can expect to be home most weekends, though the role requires out-of-state travel Monday through Friday. Lodging, fuel, meals, and mileage for major travel are covered. Employees receive the equipment needed for the work and have substantial autonomy to organize their daily schedule. Field data collection includes building measurements and documentation of sprinkler and HVAC locations, windows, signage, landscaping, utility meters, dumpsters, parking details, and other interior and exterior features. The specialist communicates with property managers about access and appointment timing and maintains clear, brief, professional remote communication with a Regional Manager, trainers, mentors, and peers. ID Plans offers paid training and opportunities for company-sponsored drone training and FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification, with training, certification costs, and equipment provided. Successful employees may have opportunities to mentor others or move into other departments.
