Field Coordinator

Utah State University•Logan, UT

About The Position

Utah Conservation Corps (UCC) operates three 12-week field seasons each year. During the spring, UCC trains Crew Leaders and prepares for the summer and fall seasons. In summer and fall, UCC mobilizes five-person field crews from offices in Logan, Moab, and Cedar City to perform conservation work on Utah public lands. Projects may include habitat restoration, revegetation, fence building, trail construction and maintenance, invasive plant removal, forest-fuel reduction and other fire mitigation, and habitat surveying. Some crews focus on specialized work, such as backcountry crosscut trail clearing and accessibility improvements at campgrounds and trailheads. The Field Coordinator provides direct leadership and support to field crews and works with UCC field staff on seasonal training and logistics. The position helps ensure crews are trained and prepared to provide high-quality conservation service in a positive, safe, and productive environment. Work may include supporting crews at project sites for multiple consecutive days, training Crew Leaders and members, conducting site visits, coordinating logistics, maintaining tools and equipment, working in the field office, and assisting with crew recruitment. The position runs through the end of November 2027.
