About The Position

The Field Communications Specialist serves as the strategic link between headquarters and field operations, ensuring mission-critical information is delivered with clarity and impact. This role manages the end-to-end execution of operational messaging—drafting, refining, and deploying updates that keep teams aligned. Beyond standard distribution, the Specialist drives two-way engagement by supporting field roundtables and enterprise-level field meetings. The Specialist also provides specialized communication architecture for field tests, developing tailored plans and providing the ongoing support necessary to drive participant engagement and testing accuracy. Working under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Operations Integration Strategy, the Specialist translates complex operational changes into field-ready messages, maintaining high standards for timing, tone, and brand consistency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in communications, administrative support, or operational support roles
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to simplify complex information
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Experience using digital communication platforms or content management tools preferred
  • Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions
  • Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings
  • Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels
  • Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches.
  • Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds
  • Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed.
  • Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.
  • Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.
  • Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.

Responsibilities

  • Create and edit field-facing communications including weekly newsletter (Brew), memos, operational updates, and SOP summaries.
  • Translate operational updates into clear, concise messaging for various field audiences, from broistas to AVPs.
  • Optimize and manage a suite of communication templates that streamline the delivery of field updates while safeguarding brand consistency.
  • Design and deploy comprehensive communication plans for field tests, providing the strategic framework and ongoing support necessary to ensure participant alignment and testing accuracy.
  • Publish communications through approved platforms such as email, intranet, or internal field applications.
  • Maintain organized archives of communications and reference materials.
  • Ensure communications are distributed according to established timelines.
  • Assist cross-functional partners in preparing communication drafts.
  • Update communication resources and documentation as operational updates occur.
  • Maintain FAQs and reference materials that support field understanding.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to curate, align, and finalize agendas and content for key field-facing meetings.
  • Support rollout of operational and organizational updates impacting the field.
  • Track communication requests and ensure materials follow established processes.
  • Assist with urgent or time-sensitive communications as needed.
  • Synthesize field feedback patterns from roundtables and meeting checkpoints to recommend continuous improvements to HQ communication frameworks.
  • Analyze and report on communication engagement metrics such as open rates or feedback from the field.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve clarity and accessibility of field communications.
