About The Position

Abbott is seeking a Field Clinical Specialist for its Vascular division. This is a remote role covering Illinois, and the candidate must live or relocate to Illinois. The role is a highly experienced Medical Affairs resource responsible for complex or specialized clinical projects, including planning and overseeing clinical trials, research, and data collection. The position requires extensive travel within the United States; the posting lists travel as 75% and separately states 80% travel within the United States.

Requirements

• Associate's degree.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Must live or relocate to Illinois.

Nice To Haves

• RN or RT credential with Cath Lab experience is highly preferred.
• Medical device experience.
• Clinical trial and/or research experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the direction, planning, execution, clinical trials and research, and data collection activities.
• Contribute to implementation of clinical protocols and facilitate completion of final reports.
• Recruit clinical investigators and negotiate study design and costs.
• Direct Phase III and IV human clinical trials for company products under development.
• Participate in adverse event reporting and safety monitoring responsibilities.
• Coordinate and provide reporting information for reports submitted to regulatory agencies.
• Monitor clinician adherence to protocols within clinical settings.
• Monitor and determine study completion.
• Coordinate and oversee investigator initiations and group studies.
• May act as a consultant or liaison with other corporations when working under licensing agreements.
