About The Position

National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking an experienced Auto Claims Estimator to join their Claims team. The role is responsible for creating comprehensive estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims, leading to proper disposition. This position serves as a peer mentor, demonstrating mastery of processes and technical expertise. Candidates should reside in or near Seattle, Bellevue, or surrounding areas to effectively support the territory. Preferred candidates will have experience managing various auto collision claims, conducting vehicle inspections, and using CCC ONE or similar estimating software to prepare accurate damage estimates. This role offers a blend of fieldwork, virtual claim handling, and customer service.

Requirements

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States.
• If currently holding an active insurance license, must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
• Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.
• Minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload for internet connection if working from home.
• Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating if working from home.

Responsibilities

• Creates comprehensive estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims leading to the proper disposition.
• Acts as a peer mentor, having mastered company processes and obtained technical expertise.
• Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company.
• Assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training.
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments, and documents all activities in complex files.
• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Exhibits mastery of estimating fundamentals to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities.
