About The Position

National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking an experienced Auto Claims Estimator to join their Claims team. This role is responsible for creating or auditing comprehensive estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims in auto or specialty lines, leading to proper claim disposition. The position also involves training, mentoring, quality control, and providing technical assistance on material damage claims. The ideal candidate will reside within the South King and Pierce County areas and have experience managing auto collision claims, conducting vehicle inspections, and using estimating software like CCC ONE. This role offers a blend of fieldwork, virtual claim handling, and customer service.

Requirements

• Strong estimating fundamentals for auto damage.
• Experience managing a variety of auto collision claims.
• Experience conducting vehicle inspections.
• Experience utilizing CCC ONE or similar estimating software.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• If holding an active insurance license, must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and not hold any outside appointments during employment.
• If holding a resident producer license, must formally surrender that license when instructed.

• Reside within the South King and Pierce County areas, including Auburn, Federal Way, Fife, Edgewood, Sumner, Orting, Kent, Covington, and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities.
• Possess a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments, and document all activities in complex files across multiple lines.
• Evaluate settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Build strong relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines.
• Provide training, mentoring, quality control, and technical assistance on material damage claims.
