About The Position

National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser to join their Claims team, supporting the South San Diego territory. This is a remote, territory-based role that handles claims both virtually and in the field throughout the South San Diego area. The role utilizes analytical skills to create comprehensive estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims, leading to proper disposition. The ideal candidate will have experience managing various auto claims, conducting vehicle inspections, and using CCC ONE estimating software to prepare accurate damage estimates while collaborating with repair facilities and customers.

Requirements

• Experience managing a variety of auto claims.
• Experience conducting vehicle inspections.
• Experience using CCC ONE estimating software.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
• Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.

Responsibilities

• Builds established relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Applies thorough understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the file within escalated authority limits.
• Processes a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Exhibits proficient estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses.
