About The Position

National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking an experienced Auto Claims Estimator to join their Claims team. The ideal candidate will reside within the South King and Pierce County areas of Washington State, including Auburn, Federal Way, Fife, Edgewood, Sumner, Orting, Kent, Covington, and surrounding areas. This role involves managing a variety of auto collision claims, conducting vehicle inspections, and utilizing estimating software to prepare accurate damage estimates. The position offers a blend of fieldwork, virtual claim handling, and customer service.

Requirements

• Possesses strong estimating fundamentals.
• Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
• Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
• Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.
• Reliable internet is required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
• Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating when working from home.

Nice To Haves

• Experience utilizing CCC ONE or similar estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Creating or auditing a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims in either the auto or specialty lines leading to the proper disposition.
• Training, mentoring, controlling quality, and providing technical assistance on material damage claims.
• Creating or auditing estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities.
• Negotiating settlements, making settlement payments, and documenting all activities in complex files across multiple lines.
• Evaluating settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Building mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines.
