About The Position

Vanguard Claims Administration is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Field Adjusting Supervisor to lead and manage a team of Field Adjusters. This role is crucial for ensuring a high-quality work product and efficient claims resolution. The supervisor will be responsible for managing, supporting, and developing the adjusting staff, while also maintaining SOC 2 compliance by safeguarding sensitive information. The position involves overseeing technical aspects of claims, training adjusters, monitoring workflow, and ensuring client satisfaction. The role also requires maintaining good client relations, attending client meetings, and performing marketing calls as needed. Continuous education and licensing are also essential components of this role.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Applicable active licenses in the state you will be managing claims.
  • At least 7-10 years’ experience in General Adjusting with large loss commercial claims.
  • A minimum of 3 plus years management experience is required.
  • Effective time management.
  • Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of Xactimate.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with Lloyds of London claims preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Field Adjusters, including performance reviews, attendance, time off, and license management.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of claims handled by the team.
  • Adhere to management policies within Vanguard.
  • Review large losses with the VP of IA Services.
  • Train Adjusters in claims handling and processing.
  • Carry a minimal caseload of claims as required.
  • Monitor workflow, diary, and reminder requirements.
  • Process invoice queries from clients.
  • Supervise, develop, and direct all personnel working directly under them.
  • Review Adjusters’ files to ensure claims procedures have been met.
  • Provide immediate feedback to Field Adjusters on report findings.
  • Answer Adjusters’ questions.
  • Work with auditors for action plans on files.
  • Manage recovery efforts, including property issues and subrogation.
  • Ensure timeliness and proper completion of demand reviews.
  • Provide quick turnaround on responses to queries from claimants, clients, or attorneys.
  • Ensure timeliness in reporting to clients.
  • Ensure adequate reserves are maintained.
  • Ensure consistent claim closures and meeting or exceeding company benchmarks.
  • Take pride in their work and their team’s work to produce a quality product.
  • Maintain good relations with all clients.
  • Convey a positive attitude and teamwork for optimum provision of client services.
  • Review and approve staff time billing daily.
  • Attend client meetings and perform marketing calls as required.
  • Continue educational studies, maintain necessary licensing, and complete continuing education.
  • Ensure all sensitive information is handled in accordance with SOC 2 security, confidentiality, and data integrity requirements.
  • Promptly report any potential compliance, security, or data handling issues, and ensure the team follows proper protocols for secure claims processing and documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the IA Manager.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support business operations and compliance objectives.
