The Collegiate School Fellows’ Program is a one- to two-year teaching fellowship for early-career teachers and career-switchers pursuing a career in education. Fellows may focus on teaching any grade from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 and may coach Grades 7–12. The program provides aspiring educators with mentorship, classroom experience, and pedagogical preparation to support their development into lead classroom teachers. Each fellow shares a classroom with a mentor teacher in their department or grade level and meets regularly with their mentor, department- or grade-level chair, the Fellows’ Program Director, other fellows, and the Dean of Faculty. Fellows participate in school activities and events, including advisory meetings, clubs, sports, performances, faculty meetings, assemblies, and professional development days. They follow the daily schedule of classroom teachers in their division and engage fully in school life. The program includes personalized mentorship, preparation in pedagogy and instructional design, cultural competency training, professional development, and job placement assistance. By the end of the fellowship, participants will have developed a professional dossier of job application materials, lesson-plan work, and a career development plan. The program runs from mid-August through early June. Fellows receive a full-time salary and are eligible for benefits and certain additional stipends.
