About The Position

The Federal Work Study Advising Office Assistant will greet visitors to the SOM Undergraduate Student Services, directing or aiding guests as needed. This role involves performing data entry, scanning, quality checks, filing, and copying of documents. The assistant will also reply to and direct calls and emails, addressing inquiries and messages appropriately and accurately. Additionally, the position will assist with recruitment activities, such as giving School of Music tours, assembling and mailing packets, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Must have Federal Work Study award
  • Must be able to work up to 20 hours per week

  • Experience in providing customer service and effective communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint
  • Evidence of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
  • Freshman and Sophomores preferred; Juniors encouraged to apply
