Federal Sales Executive

RedMatter Solutions LLC•Arlington, MA

About The Position

RedMatter Solutions is seeking an experienced Federal Sales Executive to drive new business and expand the company’s presence across the Federal Government. This hands-on, revenue-generating role focuses on developing customer relationships, opening new accounts, originating business opportunities, and converting them into profitable revenue. The role requires independently engaging Federal customers, uncovering their needs, and creating opportunities RedMatter might not otherwise identify or pursue. The Federal Sales Executive works closely with company leadership, Program Managers, technical subject matter experts, and dedicated capture and proposal personnel. Those teams provide technical, research, and pursuit support, while the salesperson independently develops customer relationships, generates opportunities, and stays engaged throughout the sales and pursuit lifecycle. The position is distinct from the internal capture function, with primary responsibility for external business development, customer relationships, opportunity origination, and revenue generation. The role is based in the Washington, DC/Northern Virginia market and requires regular engagement with Federal customers, industry partners, and company leadership. The onsite/hybrid work arrangement will be confirmed during recruitment. The position works toward an annual Recognized Adjusted Revenue quota of $4 million, as established in RedMatter’s variable compensation plan.
