About The Position

CLFC is building its court reporter roster in the Los Angeles market to support federal district court proceedings, federal administrative hearings, and depositions across CLFC's nationwide legal-support practice. This is recurring work, not a single engagement. The role involves producing a complete, accurate, verbatim record of district court proceedings, federal administrative hearings, and depositions; delivering certified transcripts within federal turnaround tiers; providing realtime output where required; and maintaining exhibit custody and strict confidentiality.

Requirements

  • RPR (NCRA) certification or an active state Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) license valid in the jurisdiction of assignment
  • Minimum 3 years of professional court reporting experience
  • Eligibility to pass a federal background investigation for suitability
  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident seeking citizenship
  • For deposition assignments, a Notary Public commission in the jurisdiction of assignment or the ability to obtain one
  • Proficiency with stenographic CAT software and reliable professional equipment with redundant backup recording

  • Certified Realtime Reporter (CRR) and/or Registered Merit Reporter (RMR)
  • Federal court experience
