About The Position

The Federal Contracts Compliance Manager is a hands-on manager responsible for leading the Contracts function’s compliance framework across Aleut Federal’s federal contract portfolio and assigned business entities. The role has primary functional ownership for SBA 8(a) program requirements, entity administration, limitations on subcontracting, performance-of-work monitoring, bona fide place-of-business compliance, Business Activity Targets, federal reporting, SAM.gov administration, and GSA and other governmentwide contract vehicles. The Manager establishes program standards, assigns priorities, reviews work product, develops compliance personnel, and ensures controls operate effectively. The position is accountable for the quality and timeliness of Contracts-owned submissions, leadership reporting, audit support, exception management, and escalation of material risks. The role remains a working leader who directly handles complex, novel, cross-entity, or high-risk matters and manages an assigned portfolio of federal prime contracts. Traditional cradle-to-grave contract administration is part of the position, while federal contracts compliance, reporting, entity management, team leadership, and audit readiness are the primary focus. The position is hybrid, with onsite attendance at the Reston, Virginia office Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday, subject to business needs. Occasional travel may be required. Work is generally performed indoors in a professional office or home-office environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, contracts management, finance, accounting, law, supply chain management, or a related field; significant directly relevant federal contracts and compliance experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Eight to twelve years of progressively responsible experience supporting U.S. federal prime contracts, including substantial cradle-to-grave federal contract administration and federal contracts compliance experience.
  • At least five years of direct, hands-on cradle-to-grave federal prime contract administration, including solicitations and proposals, awards, task orders, modifications, funding actions, contractual changes, deliverables, options, and closeout.

  • At least two years leading personnel, reviewing compliance work product, assigning priorities, or serving as the primary escalation point for a contracts compliance function.
  • Direct experience supporting the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program.
  • Advanced knowledge of FAR, DFARS, SBA 8(a), agency, contract, task-order, and federal contract-vehicle requirements.
