About The Position

Constellation is seeking a Federal Business Analyst to join its Homeland Security team in Washington, DC. The role supports US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on a nationwide program by evaluating the processes, people, and technology supporting client operations. The analyst will help develop solutions that improve existing processes, create efficiencies, and advance program goals. The position involves engaging with government leaders and working with Constellation program management professionals to support the client’s mission objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business or communications.
At least 5 years of business analysis experience, including experience working with federal government clients.
Strong writing and editing skills.
Proficiency in advanced functions of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Understanding of how Microsoft SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate can be leveraged to develop solutions.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Build relationships with client management and subject matter experts to understand processes and identify solutions to problems.
Communicate with program managers, developers, executives, and stakeholders in the program office and nationwide.
Perform business process reengineering by analyzing current processes, designing solutions, developing prototypes, and implementing solutions.
Generate ad hoc reports for senior leadership and summarize program status.
Help write reports, communication packages, and briefings for executive leadership.
Provide training, guidance, and best practices to staff nationwide.
Analyze existing system and process limitations and recommend ways to integrate disparate systems into a unified system.
Use Microsoft Office tools to support decision-making and enable staff to conduct their own analysis.
Translate technical concepts and processes for general end users.
