About The Position

The Subway Crew Member greets and serves guests, prepares food, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and handles or processes light paperwork. Exceptional customer service is a major component of the position. The role may require working in any area of the restaurant and operating a computerized point-of-sale system or cash register. The position involves bending, standing, and walking throughout the workday, and lifting 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally. Some high school or equivalent is listed as the education prerequisite, and no previous experience is required. Candidates must be able to understand and implement written and verbal instructions. Requirements

Some high school or equivalent.
No previous experience required.

Responsibilities

Greet guests and prepare their orders in a cheerful and helpful manner.
Understand menu items and explain them accurately to guests.
Use the point-of-sale system or cash register to record orders, calculate bills, collect payments, and make change.
Perform cash-in procedures, accounting for money, bread, and other items during the shift.
Prepare food neatly, according to formula, and in a timely manner.
Check and restock products in the sandwich unit area to maintain sufficient supplies throughout the shift.
Follow proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards during food preparation, service, and cleanup.
Clean and maintain all restaurant areas, including following the three-step cleaning method.
Follow quality standards, formulas, and procedures in the Subway Operations Manual.
Maintain a professional appearance and follow grooming standards in the Subway Operations Manual.
Perform assigned light paperwork duties.
Complete University of Subway courses as directed.
