About The Position
The Subway Crew Member greets and serves guests, prepares food, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and handles or processes light paperwork. Exceptional customer service is a major component of the position. The employee must be able to work in any area of the restaurant as needed, operate a computerized Point of Sale system or cash register, and complete University of SUBWAY courses as directed. The role requires bending, standing, and walking throughout the workday, with frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. Requirements
- Some high school education or equivalent.
- No previous experience required.
- Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work in any area of the restaurant when needed.
- Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale system or cash register.
- Ability to bend, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and prepare their orders in a cheerful and helpful manner.
- Understand menu items and explain them accurately to guests.
- Use the Point of Sale system or cash register to record orders, calculate bills, collect payments, and make change.
- Perform cash-in procedures and account for money, bread, and other items during the shift.
- Prepare food neatly, according to formula, and in a timely manner.
- Check and restock products in the sandwich unit area to maintain sufficient supplies throughout the shift.
- Follow food handling, safety, and sanitation standards during preparation, service, and cleanup.
- Clean and maintain restaurant areas and follow the three-step cleaning method.
- Follow quality standards, formulas, and procedures in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
- Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
- Perform assigned light paperwork duties.
- Complete University of SUBWAY courses as directed.
