About The Position
The Subway Crew Member greets and serves guests, prepares food, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and handles or processes light paperwork. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position. The employee must be able to work in any area of the restaurant when needed and operate a computerized Point of Sale system or cash register. The role requires bending, standing, and walking throughout the workday, along with frequently lifting 10 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds. Some high school or equivalent education is required. No previous experience is required; the employee must be able to understand and implement written and verbal instructions. University of SUBWAY courses must be completed as directed. This description provides guidelines for job expectations and is not an exhaustive list of duties. Supervisors may assign additional functions and requirements. The position remains at-will, and the Company may change the description or assign other tasks as appropriate. Requirements

Responsibilities
- Greet guests and prepare their orders in a cheerful and helpful manner.
- Understand menu items and explain them accurately to guests.
- Use the Point of Sale system or cash register to record orders and calculate bills; collect payments and make change.
- Perform cash-in procedures and account for money, bread, and other items during the shift.
- Prepare food neatly, according to formula, and in a timely manner.
- Check and restock products in the sandwich unit area to maintain sufficient supplies throughout the shift.
- Follow proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards during preparation, service, and cleanup.
- Clean and maintain all restaurant areas and follow the three-step cleaning method.
- Follow quality standards, formulas, and procedures in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
- Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
- Perform assigned light paperwork duties.
- Complete University of SUBWAY courses as directed.
