About The Position

S. Clyde Weaver is hiring a part-time Farmer's Market Associate for its market stand at Central Market in downtown Lancaster. The schedule is Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 7 AM to 3 PM. The associate serves customers, maintains product displays and market cases, prepares products, supports stand setup and teardown, and operates food-service equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive and friendly attitude.
Reliable and punctual.
Able to stand for the entire shift and lift 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

0–2 years of retail experience desired.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional manner.
Stock and build case displays.
Prepare products.
Help set up and tear down the market stand.
Clean and sanitize market cases.
Maintain current and thorough knowledge of available products.
Help customers differentiate between products, including comparing flavors, textures, and pairings.
Answer customer questions and address concerns.
Make helpful suggestions for customers.
Handle all transactions accurately.
Make every effort to ensure customers have an excellent shopping experience.
Train on and operate food-service equipment, including slicers and chippers.
Provide additional sanitation and market support as needed.
