About The Position

This position is responsible for all aspects of humanly raising and caring for the Smart Chicken® livestock. The role involves daily tasks such as reading water meters, picking up daily mortality, and checking for proper equipment operations to ensure birds have water and feed. It also includes preparing houses for new chick arrival and placement, as well as preparing houses for bird load-out and reconditioning. The worker must master and practice essential farm animal husbandry and adhere to all Animal Welfare Standards and biosecurity program regulations. Outdoor duties like mowing, grass trimming, and snow removal are also part of the job. The role requires a willingness to work overtime and be available for emergencies, functioning as part of a team while also being able to work independently.
