About The Position

The CAS Operator is responsible for performing daily inspections of all equipment located in the CAS department. The Operator will maintain a consistent flow; auditing and adjusting all machines in the CAS department while following animal welfare guidelines

Requirements

• Ability to operate equipment safely and effectively
• Must adhere to CAS Department Animal Welfare Standards and practices
• Must be able to work independently and make decisions
• Excellent attention to detail
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Willingness to learn new ideas
• Willingness to assist in other areas of production and work overtime as required
• 3 months cumulative work history
• Max of two (2) previous Tyson Employments to be considered for hire. 90 days (3 months) waiting period

Nice To Haves

• Operator experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate the Controlled Atmosphere Stunning equipment according to Animal Welfare Standards.
• Audit and adjust all machines in the CAS department from the Bright Coop through the Kill Machine which includes the Blood Pumps.
• Make adjustments as needed to ensure the optimum performance
• Communicate with Maintenance on equipment issues affecting the CAS
• Be proficient at start up and shut down duties
• Other duties as assigned including Live Hanging as needed
