About The Position

This position is responsible for all aspects of humanly raising and caring for the Smart Chicken® livestock. Read water meters Pick up daily mortality Check for proper equipment operations Ensure birds have water and feed Ensure all equipment is functional Prepare houses for new chick arrival & placement of new chicks Prepare houses for bird load-out and reconditioning Master and practice essential farm animal husbandry Outdoor duties include mowing, and grass trimming, snow removal Adhere to all Animal Welfare Standards and biosecurity program regulations Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to work and operate equipment safely and effectively
• Ability to use time wisely while working independently
• Willingness to function as part of a team and work toward team goals
• Good observation skills and attention to detail, eager to learn new ideas
• Willingness to work overtime and be called into work for emergencies as required
• Must be willing to adhere to and support all company policies, programs, guidelines, and standards of conduct.
• Farm Worker Operator: 6 months of production or farm experience preferred.
• Rehiring Criteria: Applicant must not have worked for Tyson more than a total of 3 times prior.
• Applicants must also have completed at least 90 days since their last employment with Tyson.
