About The Position

The FANUC Robot Programmer provides onsite production support for FANUC robotic cells at an automotive plant in Flint, Michigan. This is a six-month contract role with opportunities on second and third shifts. The position focuses on keeping production lines running at rate by troubleshooting robot faults, making path touch-ups and program edits, and optimizing programs as production needs change. The programmer may support welding, material handling, and dispense applications, and works with production, maintenance, and engineering teams while documenting all program changes. GM plant experience is strongly preferred.

Requirements

• Hands-on FANUC robot programming experience in an automotive production environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in a live production setting.

Nice To Haves

• GM plant experience, including familiarity with GM standards, is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs is preferred.
• GRS Certified is heavily preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite production support for FANUC robotic cells to keep lines running at rate.
• Troubleshoot and resolve robot faults to minimize downtime.
• Perform path touch-ups, program edits, and optimization as production needs change.
