About The Position

The Family Support Program Coordinator will oversee the service and administrative functions related to the delivery of Family Support Program services. This includes direct supervision of the Family Support Program Supervisor and Self-Sufficiency Specialists to ensure services meet contractual and model fidelity requirements, and comply with COA accreditation standards and NCHS policies and procedures. The role involves researching, analyzing, and integrating innovative strategies and models to enhance service delivery and outcomes, and expand the population of participants served. Responsibilities also include oversight of staff training curriculum implementation, program budget maintenance, and direct service as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work or human services field (Required)
  • 3 years of experience working with children and families.
  • 5 Years of supervisory experience in prevention programming (Required)
  • Knowledge of needs and services related to prevention services and home visitation.
  • Knowledge, skills and experience related to needs of families and children experiencing challenges, family functioning, child development, adoption planning, issues that children and families may experience within the child welfare system, experience advocating for children and families and trauma-informed services.

  • Ability to work autonomously and make appropriate decisions in crisis situations, with consultation with the Director of Program Operations, or designee as applicable.
  • Ability to interact with families and team members with sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics in the service population.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret forms, documents, evaluations and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries and possible complaints from participants and other providers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office Suite and other technology platforms for communication, tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to all employees and community partners.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality relative to sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong collaboration skills.
  • The ability to frequently communicate with NCHS team members and community partnerships.
  • Able to inspect written communication and respond to directions and hazards.
  • Able to move equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs in the building and home structures.
  • Able to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Able to remain in a stationary position and move about different work environments.
  • This position requires access to reliable and safe transportation. A copy of insurance and registration will be required upon hiring
  • Ability to adjust normal work schedule to accommodate the needs of clients, including evening and weekend work.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of Family Support program services statewide
  • Provide administrative support in development of policy and procedures, collection of data and reporting of outcomes.
  • Direct supervision of Family Support Program Supervisor, and Self-sufficiency specialists.
  • Oversight of service delivery to ensure services meet contractual, model fidelity, and NCHS policy and procedure requirements.
  • Assist in the coordination of the PAT Advisory Board meetings, working closely with Specialists, Supervisor and the Director of Program Operations to identify members and agenda items.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and/or funding requirements, DHHS Licensing Regulations and COA Accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with Director of Program Operations, Director of Program Development and Community Engagement and other Leadership Team members by researching, analyzing and integrating innovative strategies to enhance service delivery and program outcomes.
  • Oversight of staff training curriculum to include implementation
  • Maintenance and oversight of statewide programs budgets in collaboration with the Director of Program Operations
  • Coordination of orientation and training of new team members
  • Participates in CQI efforts
  • Oversee program CQI projects, including leading the programs CQI team or delegating role to a designee, in coordination with Director of Program Operations, includes submitting CQI projects and follow up with teams on progress and completion.
  • Ensure supervisees submit necessary documentation and required reports in accordance with contractual obligations
  • Tracks and reports on program outcomes as determined by NCHS and contractual requirements
  • Adheres to confidentiality requirements and ensures maintenance of confidentiality of program records and communications.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the community and participate in community groups, committees, task forces, etc.
  • Represent NCHS at local, statewide and national meetings and events as requested.
  • Commitment to NCHS mission, vision, values, CQI initiatives, and strategic plan goals.
  • Maintain a positive and cooperative relationship with internal and external professionals.
  • Participation in agency committees as assigned.
  • Positive representation of NCHS in all community settings.
