The Family Support Program (FSP), formerly known as the Individual Care Grant program, provides access to intensive mental health services and supports to youth with a severe emotional disturbance. The goal of the FSP is to support eligible youth and their families by strengthening family stability, improving clinical outcomes, and promoting community-based services. The Specialized Family Support Program (SFSP) is a 90-day program of crisis stabilization, community mental health, and assessment services. It is designed to identify the behavioral health needs of youth at risk of custody relinquishment (i.e. psychiatric hospital lockout) and to link those youth to the most appropriate clinical services.
