The Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre (WOCRC) is a community-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting health, wellness, safety, and inclusion across far west Ottawa. Since 1986, WOCRC has supported individuals and families through a wide range of community, social, and health services designed to strengthen and empower the communities we serve. Our programs support children, youth, families, newcomers, seniors, and individuals experiencing crisis or social isolation through counselling, housing and violence against women services, community development initiatives, health promotion, and family support programming. POSITION SUMMARY: The Family Resource Worker coordinates and delivers programs and services that support the needs of parents / care providers and children birth to 6 years in the communities of Kanata, West Carleton and Stittsville, within the scope of practice as mandated by the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE). The position supports the Centre-wide and strategic level health promotion and community development activities, including community assessments and program evaluation activities, within the scope of practice as mandated by the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE). This is a part-time temporary position at 28 hours a week, with an expected start date of late July 2026 to November 1, 2026 with the possibility of extension and opportunities to move into a casual relief position. The Salary is pro-rated to reflect 28 hours a week starting at $39,458 per annum or $27.10 per hour.
