About The Position

Helix Human Services provides Comprehensive Foster Care (CFC), a unique program through which foster families provide a home to one or two children and/or adolescents in need of more support. This role involves providing training and support for foster parents to ensure preparedness for licensure, facilitating the licensing process, and providing coordination and administrative support to both the Program Manager and families to secure licenses for foster homes. The position also assumes full responsibility for foster care recruitment, including all associated duties and functions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field with a minimum of three years relevant experience
Licensed social worker or license eligible
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work cooperatively and closely with DCF and collateral agencies
Knowledge of Hampden County
Interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication
Comfortable working with diverse teams
Bilingual required

Responsibilities

Conducting licensing studies for prospective and current foster parents
Completing annual reassessments and license renewals
Providing training and support to foster parents to ensure all licensure requirements are met
Maintaining family resource files in compliance with Helix Human Services and EEC standards, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date
Leading and managing foster care recruitment activities
Providing support and assistance to the Program Manager and Case Managers as needed
