About The Position

The Family Resource Center Coordinator serves as the administrative front desk staff and is the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and staff at Epworth's Family Resource Center and Katrina's Kloset. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing front desk operations, and performing a variety of administrative support and coordination tasks to ensure efficient and smooth day-to-day operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of administrative or customer service experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with a commitment to customer service
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Must be proficient in both written and verbal communication.
  • Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check, including drug screening, physical exam, SLED check, DSS Central Registry, and Sex Offender Registry clearance.
  • Valid South Carolina Driver's License
  • Safely lift, carry, and move objects and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Routinely bend, stretch, twist, kneel and stoop to access materials and/or equipment.
  • Alignment with the values and faith practices of the United Methodist Church.

  • Experience in a nonprofit or human services setting is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome visitors in a warm, professional manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls and emails promptly and courteously
  • Maintain the front desk area and lobby to ensure a clean and organized appearance
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and maintain calendars as needed
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and document management
  • Provide administrative support to program staff, including photocopying, scanning, and preparing materials
  • Monitor office supplies and place orders when needed
  • Ensure compliance with organizational procedures and confidentiality standards
  • Support special projects and events as assigned
  • Oversee stocking and maintenance of the Family Resource Center's Katrina's Kloset.
  • Accept and organize donations on behalf of the Family Resource Center and Katrina's Kloset. Collaborate with internal and external partners regarding donations.
  • Coordinate with the Volunteer Coordinator, as needed, to oversee volunteer workgroups assigned to the Family Resource Center and Katrina's Kloset.
