Career Opportunity: Family Preservation Worker. Practice Differently with Carrier Sekani Family Services (CSFS): CSFS is an innovative and progressive leader in Indigenous health and family services where culture is at the centre of everything we do. Since our beginnings in the late 1980s, CSFS has grown to over 475 employees providing services to 11 member Nations. The Opportunity: Perform assessments, implement goal plans and collect data and charting on progress. Develop community programming based on demonstrated need and program objectives as outlined in funding contracts, community plans and individual goal plans. Provides services to clients supported by evidence, research and multidiscipline expertise on the wide range of health, social, and program specific issues related to health care services within First Nation communities and CSFS clinics. Comply with local, provincial and federal government laws, standards and regulations (Child and Family Services Act, Aboriginal Operational Procedures and Standards Indicators). Educates the staff of MCFD and other government agencies to: the socio-economic conditions, cultural values, traditions, expectations and aspirations of the parents, family and client community.

Requirements

  • Social Services Diploma with two years extensive experience
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered
