About The Position

The Riverside Health home is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage for any of the following dates: July 17th, July 21st - 24th. This role involves delivering comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness. The physician will work with other providers in the clinic to offer cross coverage and same-day access, and will utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) to record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR accessible to all collaborating team members.

Requirements

• eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)

Responsibilities

Benefits

• guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 or half-day)
• additional shadow billings if above amount is exceeded.
• accommodations up to $300 per night
• travel expenses (including air fare up to $1,500)
• travel time up to 10 hours per week
• licensing fees for College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSNS)
