About The Position

Neeham Health Home is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage for the following dates: June 29th to July 14th, 2026. Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested.

Requirements

• Eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for family practices
• Provide inpatient and nursing home care
• Provide specialist hospital and office coverage as requested

Benefits

• Minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day)
• Additional earnings if shadow billings exceed the minimum daily income guarantee
• Reimbursement for travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500)
• Reimbursement for travel time up to 10 hours per week
• Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered
• Locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions
