About The Position

Marathon Health is seeking a Family Physician to provide patient-centered primary care to employees at assigned Marathon Health Centers through an Employer-Sponsored Direct Primary Care model. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice full-spectrum primary care with a smaller patient panel (800-1000 patients), allowing for longer appointment times (30-60 minutes) and fewer administrative tasks. The model focuses on prevention, wellness, acute and chronic disease management, and enhancing provider-patient relationships, aiming to improve health outcomes, patient engagement, and reduce overall healthcare costs. Providers will utilize electronic medical records and population management tools, and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The role emphasizes an insurance-free work environment, leveraging technology for patient interaction.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of residency with professional experience in Family Practice or Internal Medicine + Pediatric.
  • Board certification or eligibility and intent to certify.
  • Active state license.
  • CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
  • May be required to have a dispensing license per state regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered primary care to employees at assigned Marathon Health Centers.
  • Focus on prevention and wellness, acute and chronic disease management.
  • Maximize provider-patient relationships with longer appointment times.
  • Collaborate with at least two or more Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) within the organization.
  • Utilize electronic medical records and population management tools.
  • Proactively work with patients to prevent diseases and injuries through lifestyle changes.
  • Consult with patients using technology, including mobile phones and secure email access.
