Requirements

  • Strong Nurse Practitioner skills, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and patient education.
  • Experience or knowledge in adult primary care, including preventive care and the management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Solid foundation in Internal Medicine and Primary Care, including evidence-based practice, preventive health, and chronic disease management.
  • Core Nursing competencies, including compassionate patient care, clinical documentation, infection control, and safety practices.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Current licensure as a Family or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner in the state of Georgia, or eligibility to obtain
  • Nurse Practitioner
  • 1+ years of Hospitals and Health Care experience

Nice To Haves

  • National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Prior experience in outpatient primary care, internal medicine, or family practice, especially in community-based settings
  • Strong communication, cultural competence, teamwork, and time-management skills, with a commitment to patient-centered, non-discriminatory care.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting patient assessments
  • Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
  • Developing and adjusting treatment plans
  • Prescribing medications in accordance with applicable regulations
  • Documenting care in the electronic health record
  • Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical team members
  • Communicating with patients regarding treatment plans and preventive health
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives
  • Patient education
  • Coordination of care with specialists and community resources
  • Adherence to clinical guidelines and organizational policies
