About The Position

UVA Health's Bull Run Manassas is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to join their growing team. The incumbent will provide primary health care and perform selective medical services under the direction of practice physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention.
  • Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention.
  • Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
  • Collaborates with other departments or disciplines to achieve desired quality outcomes.
  • Monitors quality of core processes in department.
  • Applies the principles of safety and infection control to ensure the safety of all patients.
  • Demonstrates superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Works within a team to achieve patient and team goals.
  • Shares and initiates regular and professional communication with co-workers.
  • Participates in regular staff meetings.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve processes based on feedback from staff and customers.
  • Provides primary health care and performs selective medical services under the direction of practice physicians.
  • Obtains complete history and physical data on patients.
  • Reviews patient records.
  • Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed.
  • Performs a complete physical exam and records findings.
  • Establishes presumptive diagnosis.
  • Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
  • Performs independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations.
  • Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
  • May require the use of safety equipment, such as HEPA mask, for infection prevention.
  • On call responsibilities as directed.
  • Ability to travel between campus buildings, remote facilities, and out of town as needed.

Benefits

  • The base compensation range for this role is an hourly rate of 54.27 to 70.99 for a 1.0 clinical FTE status.
  • Individual compensation will be determined by fair market value and the selected candidate’s qualifications, clinical experience, specialty training, credentials, and/or education.
  • Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs, such as productivity, quality, non-productivity, or other incentives that may be available for eligible positions.
